A very special evening's entertainment

Things are shaping up beautifully for this year's Drums and Rockets extravaganza. Not just the wonderful, amazing, ORKESTRA DEL SOL, but a terrific young band whose music is rooted in tradition but with a contemporary feel to get your feet dancing 
CHRIS MEREDITH & AMY THATCHER.


Chris and Amy are in their final year at Newcastle University on the traditional music course which is turning out a load of very fine musicians - like Glen favourites THE SHEE (formerly The Sirens), which Amy has just joined. Chris (fiddle, guitar) and Amy (accordion) also play in FRANANA and WAXWING. As it that isn't enough, Amy gave an impressive stepdancing demonstration at the Benleva during the September beerfest and we're pretty sure she can be prevailed upon to repeat that.
